BBQ Contest Results
Well some of you may remember me posting about being in a sanctioned bbq contest and asking advice. Thanks to all of you I am happy to report that we won Reserve Grand Champion! Made a few hundred dollars and had a hell of a time. I will attach some pics. Thanks again for all of the good advice!

Thanks man. We made our own BBQ sauce. People were offering to buy it from us they loved it so much. My buddy and I really had a great time and proved that we can work together to make a good plate. The dudes we had all around us were awesome, we traded food, stories and tricks and just had an awesome time. It was such a proud moment when our team name was called. We cooked off of a regular grill and a water smoker.

Congrats!
Knowing how to use your equipment is the key and you proved it. After i sold my smoker I entered a baby back rib cook off and won using a 2 burner weber spirit 210 gas grill. I got laughed at when i set up and then got shunned when i beat out guys with thousands of dollars work of equipment. I always used a Brinkmann gourmet electric smoker as well for back up.

Thanks man. Because it was a sanctioned event we will get our actual scores emailed to us to see where we compared to every other team. I will post it when I get it just for amusement. We want to know where we went wrong and where we went right. I posted pics of each turn in plate.
