Radio Shack vs. On Star

Radio Shack is offering a On Star type service now for $9.95 a month. Does anyone have this device and service? I think one good thing about it is that you can take it from car to car making it more versatile.

I don't know if this thing can unlock your doors like On Star. I know On Star is better in that it is tied to the electrical system of the car and thus can notify EMS that air bags have been deployed if you are unconscious. I do like the fact that you can move the Radio Shack unit from car to car, or even to a boat, motorcycle, or ATV.

Pretty cool. The portabilty feature offers real potential. You can spy on someone, attach them to your kids when you go hiking, take it boating, use if you are kidnapped, and on and on.

that is a pretty nifty device. when my kids get older, something like this has real potential.
