This ones going to be split along party lines. I personally think McCain/Guiliani is a long shot for the GOP to put up there since they are more left leaning Republican. Maybe one or the other, but not both.

Luckily our county is so broke that we don't have a dog catcher or a pound for that matter. If you try to start a business in our county the Democrats will tax and regulate you into submission.

Those tickets are about as likely to happen as an Alan Keyes / David Duke
combo.

Some people say it's another three years before we need to care about who's in the next race for president. Outside the US the opposition swings into gear right after a loss and finds a strong leader to 'get in the face' of the ruling party. Also, the party in power starts grooming their leadership for change if their current leader will leave office.

McCain/Guiliani or a Clinton ticket may sound far fetched now but maybe we need to get the ball rolling sooner rather than later.

Yeah, never say never.

Actually, moves were being made to shape the 2008 presidential election before the first votes were cast in the recent presidential election.

Alan Keyes was brought all the way from the east coast to Illinois to run against Barack Obama in an attempt to keep Obama from winning a Senate seat and rising to national power. A campaign to discredit him has also begun in an attempt to "shoot him down" early.

No, you don't get it. Maybe a strategy change needs to take place where instead of 12 months before an election some unknown candidate (like Dukakis or Kerry) pops up and on a whim of some small state gets the nomination, a true leader comes to the fore now, let's their intentions be known, and shows some true opposition.

As to Obhama vs Keys. He was running unopposed which is never a good thing. The rest is politics.

The Democrats seriously need to look at how they elect leaders to run for president. Like them or not, McCain and Giuliani are already two steps ahead of any Democrat.

All right, I'm going to say it... I think the Democraps would be giving the election away if they tried to run the first woman President and the first black Vice President on the same ticket. It doesn't help that Obama's name sounds so Islamic.

This is especially true if going up agains McCain/Guiliani. They are moderate enough Republicans to sway a good portion of the moderate Democrap vote.
