Houston Auto Show

A few pics from the Houston auto show. Sorry for the quality- Had to use my camera phone. Of special interest to me was the Ford Sporttrack concept, and the Cadillac 16.

I made it there on Saturday as well. I took lots of pictures and I will post them all this evening.
While you were there, did you check out the new M (35 and 45) from Infiniti? They did a beautiful job on this car. Magazine photos do it no justice to speak of.
I also liked the Bronco concept that you posted. That truck is incredible. It sure would be nice if Ford decided to bring that to market it a form very similar to what was shown at the show. It was great
I also checked out the new Ridgeline from Honda. There were a few interesting things that Honda through in but all in all, I was anything but impressed. Its really quite an ugly truck. The front fascia actually looks dated to me.

i was there on saturday. i was greatly impressed with the ford GT and the girl that spoke about it. they opened it all up, including the clam shell. she said lots of things about the GT that i did not know. she even had info that surprised the two guys i was with, both giant mustang 5.0 freaks.

however, the dodge charger looked worse in person than in the mags. such a plain looking car. it's going to take more than a hemi to sell that one. disgrace to the charger name.

i also liked that ford explorer sport track concept, which looked strikingly similar to the lightening concept.

all in all, it was a good time. worth the money. not worth the parking fee, but worth $10 to get in.

I did check out the M- it was very nice! I was drooling over quite a few of them- did you guys see that Lexus concept? I really, really love the new BMW's too. Damn the germans make nice cars! Did y'all see the Maybach?

The Ridgeline was kinda blah from my perspective. Not really impressive- but it definitely looks like a truck that Honda would build.

Looking forward to some better pics. My digital camera's batteries died.

I have found over the years that I am frequently severly disappointed between the concept vehicle and what finally hits the lot for retail purchase. I wish more manufacturers would either keep the concept like what they will offer or offer the concept. I know that the concept is usually really hopped up, so they can offer the cheap watered down versions, but keep the close-to-concept option available as the really high-end option. Maybe even for special order. I know my broke-butt can't afford it, but I know there are people who can and I think they should be able to.
