I am relatively new to this forum. But, I have noticed a lot of similarities among us. We have talked about who we think the hottest woman is, favorite mods, fun things to do with the Titan, etc. Yet (after doing a search of course) I haven't found a thread about what everyone's favorite beer is. Only seems like the next logical step to me!
I make my own. I have hop vines growing next to my house. As far as my favorite, that would be hard to pick. I have a 2 year old barley wine that packs quite a punch, a very highly hopped India Pale Ale, and a nice wheat beer with an interesting bananna-clove scent from the esters produced by the yeast.
Of the store bought stouts, Guinness is pretty good. They actually pasteurize ("born on" beer dating should really state "killed on" as that is when they kill the yeast) some soured beer and add it for that little bit of sour twang that is hard to duplicate in home brewed stout. The Guinness in Ireland has quite a bit less alcohol content that the U.S. version because of the alcohol tax in Ireland.
As far as store bought beer, I guess I would have to support a local Colorado brewery by picking New Belgium Trippel.
Well, I have a number of them, but will start with the basics:
hefeweizen: Erdinger Hefe (German)
amber: Fat Tire
dark: Moose Drool (Big Sky Brewing Company)
India Pale Ale (IPA): Boulevard Pale
Domestic: Buuuuuuuud and Rainier
Yeah, but one has to be realistic. I can't get a hold of good beer all of the time (example: NFL games). Besides, those two beers aren't that bad. Have you had a Rainier lately? Surprisingly tasty....especially with some tomato juice. yummmmmmmm

I haven't had a Rainier in awhile. Do you mix tomato juice in the beer? That is pretty wild.
