I'm headed to Las Vegas for a, cough, cough...business trip the first week of August.
I won't have the Titan, but if any owners want to arrange a hello or something. I haven't been to Vegas before, and since I'm going by myself, a tour guide wouldn't be bad.
Let me know!!

I think we may share a common employer... If your trip involves 6000+ attendees in three different hotels, then I'll see you there- my division leaves on the 6th.
BTW..... If you're a greasy burger fan- check out In 'n' out burgers at the end of the strip. Worth the walk there, but after eating it you'll want to take a cab back!

I in Phoenix area and I go to Vegas 3-6 times per year. Yup my Titan has been there
Here's a few of my personal pointers:
I really like Green Valley Ranch..it's worth a visit because it's beautiful, clean, good food, and you get to see everything that is on the show "American Casino" on the History Channel (previously on Discovery)
Don't bother with the new Wynn resort. They say this is the future of casinos and they cater to the rich, but I didn't see anything special. The Ferrari dealership was just a big gift shop with the cars beyond the velvet ropes.
If you are going to gamble then do it down in the Freemont street area. The table limits are smaller and the odds are usually better. (I'm a Craps player)
If you plan on entering a Texas Hold-em contest (I did this past weekend at the Horseshoe) keep in mind that people are in these tournaments that do this for a living. I took 70th out of ~165 for a total of winning of ZERO.
If you take a cab, tell them: DO NOT TAKE THE FREEWAY to get around the strip, have them use the roads parallel to the strip. A freeway journey adds around $7 to your trip.
The bus system on the strip is $2 for 1.5 hours or $5 for a 24 hour pass. We usually do this.
Don't plan on doing something in Vegas if you can get the same thing in your home town. for example, a tattoo that costs $120 at home will cost around $300 in vegas (usually).
don't take handounts from anyone walking down the sidewalks
I'm from the Phoenix area so Vegas is cooler in temperature, but keep in mind that the temperatures reach 100+ this time of year. Water and Sunscreen are very helpful.
My wife brings hand sanitizer everywhere....good idea.

I live in LA and if you havent had In N Out I def. recomend you going there.

I think it's required that you get some In 'n' Out burger while you are in town.
Don't let the cabbies hustle you, they are very good at taking routes that "are quicker." Our first cabbie's english wasn't very good, but he said something to the effect of "I no scraw chu, we take des roads." Very personable fellow. Liked to be called "Ghengis Khan."
Oh, and there's a Mexican place across from NY, NY. We all got food posioning. Bad. Stop eating now, and save room for the buffets!
In 'n' Out is definitely in order. Also, the wynn is worth walking through if you're with your wife b/c she'll think it's very art-sy and impressive. But if you're by yourself you could probably skip the Wynn. On a weeknight you can play blackjack for $5.00 each hand but on the weekends, forget it!
"The Fremont Experience" is pretty good, there is a "bayou" themed place that sells humongous daquiris for $8.00, that's a good place to start.
But the only "must do" that I can think of (besides the nudey-bar) is the "Big Shot" ride on top of the stratosphere. You have to buy a ticket to go up to the top and then you have to buy a ticket to the ride but it's definitely worth it.
so, in summation: 1. gamble a little, 2. nudey bar (The Library), 3. stratosphere, 4. in-n-out double-double.
