VERY NICE!

I especially like the one with Old Glory in front

I got to watch it via NASA TV here on site in our conference room on the big projector screen

There is just something so right about a red Titan, the blue sky and the white plume.

"Fan,

How far, as the crow flies, do you live from the launch pad?

You sure that's the smoke from the shuttle launch? I hear Ricky's back in town.

Bayou Titan,
I live about 15-20 minutes tops, as the crow flies, from the launch pad. Good bit more by car. Used to live much, much, closer when I was in high school and college. I used to be able to walk to my sliding glass patio door and look across the Indian River and see 2 different launch pads and the VAB (vehicle assembly building).

Hopefully in 12 days I will get woken up at 5:30 am by the double sonic booms as the shuttle lands at KSC.

Couldn't resist putting the Titan and the American flag in some off the pictures.

I didn't even notice my neighbor on his roof till I came inside and downloaded the pitures.

I have more pics in a .pdf file. Don't know how to post on the forum, though.

I figured it out, but the file is too big.

I live in Sarasota and I tried to watch it take off but it was to hazy. I can usually see it if it is a clear day. I got on my roof anyway and noticed others doing to same. But it was just to cloudy. I drove up 4 years ago to watch it at night take off. Lit the whole sky up like it was daytime. What a sight! Now praying they come home safe. We get the double sonic booms over here to when they come back. Love to hear them. Shakes the whole house
