Pictures of my buck

finally figured out how to post pictures and thought i would post a picture of my buck i got this year in archery here in pennsylvania. He definite is a dandy scored 158 5/8 pope and young. I had been watching this buck for 3 years on a farm and couldn't get him. He definitely was one of those bucks with a great 6th sense. had him several times in bow range but he didn't like the situation and always walked off before giving me a shot. Well the second to last day in archery season i had just seen these two doe working their way towards my stand when out of now where he appears in the field behind me so i give a doe bleat and he comes running to me like a sprint going to the finish line. He gets about 50 yards and stops and all i can think of is not again. I give another bleat followed by a grunt and he starts to walk my way just about this time i catch movement in front of me and it is a smaller buck going to check out these doe and what do yoiu know that big boy gets mad and he wants to protect his territory. So as he chases the other buck away the 2 does walk right under my stand as if they were trying to help me out. But i know darn well one dumb move and i will blow it again. So this buck comes back and and is looking for these doe and he walks right apast a tree and out into my shooting lane though he is walking towards me. so by now i have bow a full draw and wait for him to turn broadside and i am shaking like a pregnant nun at confession (Lord i apologize) and finally at 12 yards he turns and quarters away. i release the arrow and bang! my muzzy finds home and he goes down right there. )Now my bow is a Hoyt Xtec and is setup with 80 draw and 100 grain muzzy 3 blade) I just can't believe it and then he gets up a takes off running now the time is like 6:45 pm and at that time it is about the latest u can shoot. So i call my buddy on radio and i can't talk but i tell him that i just shot the bruiser and we need to track. Well after about 150 yards and 1.5 hours we find him. The most amazing thing is he was hit in the heart and both lungs and still went that far. He is definitely the buck of a lifetime well i hunted and killed a doe the next day and i also spotted 2 more big bucks. Hope you like the picture!

Re: Pictures of my buck

That is a great buck!!! Congrats to ya.
We have a lot of deer in Tennessee, but i've never even seen one that large, let alone get a shot at it.

I have had a good season, I managed to kill two with my bow [a 6 point and an 8 pointer] and two more with a rifle.

Here's a pic of one I got a couple of years ago. Thought I'd throw the Christmas tree in their as well.

One of this years archery bucks..........

Re: Pictures of my buck

Onebadasstitan, That is a really nice buck. It rivals anything that I've killed with a bow or gun. Awesome.

Re: Pictures of my buck

First Tn sweet buck and even sweeter house! and do you like your sportsman as much as i do? As for canuk during the whole feasco i deleted the others this was the only on that i managed to salvage! That really sux but i will post pics when i get the mount back! this is by far the biggest buck i will ever shoot without going to a game preserve! I thought that about 5 years ago that i shot a buck of a lifetime it scored 128 boone and crockett but this thing just dwarfs it!

Yes I do. I haven't had any problems at all. And believe me I punish it, even use it to disc some out of the way food plots.

I also have an old Yamaha Moto 4 250, it's been good as well, but the Polaris rides soooo much better.
