Need Dale Earnhadt picture
I seen this picture on the web but can't find it now.
Jr won the Pepsi 400 that was in July after Dale's wreck during the 500 in Feb. There was a picture of him making a outside pass by himself. Someone Photoshopped the black #3 in behind him as sorta a ghost figure.Man just thinking about it give's me chills.If anyone knows of a site that has it or better has a copy they can email me that would be great. isnt it spelled earnhaRdt? just thought that being the big fan you are, that it would be impossible to spell his name wrong, kinda like breaking one of the ten commandments....

HAHA I just noticed my typo when you pointed it out myself.I was a huge fan of Dale's way back in the early 80's.I have tried to keep my heart in it but it just isn't the same without him out there.
Jr helps to fill the void but there is no replacing his dad for all out excitment.

do post the picture if you can find it.
the first time i saw Dale race was at Sears Point (currently known as Infineon Raceway) a couple years before his accident. Gordon won the race, but Dale was by far the fastest driver out there despite finishing about 9th. If not for some bad luck it should have been a podium finish for sure. I'm not kidding he raced every green flag lap as if it was his last, he was always charging. Coming down the back stretch thru the ess's they hit about 165-170mph, Dale would be 4 wheel drifting through every turn in the ess's whether he was 50 feet or 5 inches from whoever he was tailing. I can't imagine seeing him in your rear view mirror doing that at that speed, he was the Intimidator alright. It gave me goosebumps to watch it then and it gives me goosebumps now to think about how he drove a race car! |
