Burglar Hit In Head With Shoehorn By Elderly Man Sentenced To Prison
JUNEAU, Wis. -- A burglar hit in the head with a shoehorn by an elderly man during a break-in in Dodge County received a six-year sentence in prison.
Gary Wells, of Milwaukee, pleaded no contest to burglary. He was also sentenced to five years extended supervision. An 85-year-old Lebanon man hit Wells with a shoehorn last December when he demanded money and threatened him. The man, who was in bed, cursed at Wells, told him to leave and threatened to shoot him before hitting him on the head. What is the big deal??? Guy breaks in, gets hit by a shoe horn, gets caught pleads guilty, gets 6 years in jail, plus 5 years probation when he gets out. Might be a bit steep, but seems like the system worked pretty well.
