What exactly is an "American Auto" ? The Fords, Dodges & Chevys made in Mexico? The Hondas, Toyotas & Nissans mfg'd in the USA?

OK, Ill be more specific.. Another nail in the coffin of Cadillac (GM) and Lincoln (Ford). Maybe chrysler, but then again they have the whole mercedes thing going for them (Maybach rules)

That is a beautiful car with incredible performance for the price. If I had that kind of money to spend on a car, it would be at the top of my list.

While it is a bit crude, if you want raw performance for the value, it is hard to beat the Chrysler 300C, especially the SRT-8 version. Not nearly as refined as the Lexus, but I don't think there is any four door sedan that can run with it for the bucks.

0-60 is in the low fives or maybe high 4's. Here's what C&D says:

The Caddy was actually a tenth quicker, but is much smaller, much more austere in appointments and over $10,000 more in price.

If it is true luxury and speed and you've got the bucks. But if you want good value and blistering performance the 300C SRT-8 is mighty tempting.

. Only one thing, they were wrong about it being the worlds first 8-speed, The skyline sedan (g35 in America) had an 8-speed auto as well.
