The next significant risk for rain will be Friday and Friday night when a cold front approaches the area. Wednesday: Partly sunny and quite warm with a 20% risk of an afternoon thunderstorm. Highs: 84-88. Southeast winds at 5 to 10 mph. Wednesday Night: A few clouds. Lows: 63-67. Light winds. Thursday: Partly sunny with a 20% risk of an afternoon thunderstorm. Highs: 83-87. BEACHES: Winds out of the southeast at 5 to 15 mph. Seas will range from 1 to 2 feet near shore about 1foot in the Albemarle and Pamlico Sounds.
