PAR is 3 yrs old pure bred Shih Tzu. I would like to find him a home which someone does not have young children at home. I prefer someone in So. Cal. and have a home. He is an indoor dog. I have ALL the papers of his shots. My record and previous owner's record. He is currently up-to-date with all the shot for another 3 yrs.

Aggression in dogs is often triggered by possessiveness. He barks, you pull him away, he gets attention and control over the situation. He gets unintentionally rewarded for the behavior.
Shih Tzu's need exercise and then discipline (which does not mean punishment). PAR 3 has to earn attention. THEN he can be trained. Bottomline if you're worried about him nipping at kids, he is believing that he plays the role of alpha in your yard-not you.
I am curious as to what the previous owner had said about the dog or did this behavior begin in your home?
It's a behavior that can be corrected fairly quickly if you're interested...
