details....2500 sq ft ranch, .65 acres, 36x18 ce-ment pond, a 2-car garage attached and another 2-car garage out back, and the backyard is fenced in so the dog will have plenty of room to run around....
oddly enough, I'll pretty much be in a hotel room until then, but thats due to business travel....we are renting a house right now
How are the prices there? We looked at a house on the Cape, not water front, that was priced at $1,250,000 that might bring at very best $325,000...probably closer to $300K. Gotta love the midwest. I know a guy up in Maryland that paid $330K for a 900 sq ft house in such bad shape you couldn't give it away around here and he thought he got a great deal.

Congrats to the neew homeowners and best wishes hereafter. Now, you are at a motel+bored? No lounge? No pool? No lounge hookers?(by the pool?) What kinda joint are they running there? Anything in the mini fridge? What about the ice machines? You can at least dump buckets of ice water on the hookers from the second floor. Nothing to do. You obviously haven't visited our motels in Florida.

The prices are much more reasonable here.... we just moved from Western Mass. and the house we were renting there was just put on the market. 1100 sq feet, .4 acres built in 1900 and the house is literally falling in on itself, no wall is straight and there are major cracks in all the load bearing walls. This house will go for something north of 300k....we paid about half that in SC...
Thats what I love about the area I'm in, We have 3800sq ft finished on 1 acre, three decks and a sun porch, two full kitchens(1 just redone), 6 bedrooms, two car garage, all brick heavily landscaped (built in 73, but kept very current) and it would go for about $270K.....in the best school district in the area. In our travels, we've meet people living in shacks (literally) that cost well over $300K. I've heard property in the Carolinas isn't too bad, North East and Calf. is rediculous. My sisters lot in Idaho 1/5 of an acre, cost almost $30K. You can get 3+ acres overlooking the river here for that.
