Unhappy This sucks

This is way off topic, but I had to vent to someone. I am currently stationed in Iraq, and bought my truck while I was home on mid-tour leave in March. Brand new 2006 CC, Charcoal Gray. I love it, but I can't drive anything stock, so I started ordering parts to kill time and chear me up over here. One thing lead to another, and since March, I've spent about $8,000 in additional parts. Well, I was supposed to come home soon and put all the parts on. I couldn't wait. Well, just got word that we will be extended a little longer, so my parts will continue to collect dust! Just had to get that out to someone.

Re: This sucks

I hate it but stlblues may be right, hang in there and be safe. My son-in-law came home this evening and we were there to greet him at Ft. Campbell.. Great to see him home safe, it was his 2nd time there.. Those mods are waiting for you and will be that much better when you finally get them installed.. good luck and thanks for your sacrifice.

Re: This sucks

So I guess your in the National Guard? If you are they like to do that to you. They did it to us while I was deployed. I'm in a medevac Co as a crewchief, and we had to wait for another National Guard unit to replace us so we could come home.

Re: This sucks

6.1 SRT cam, springs, rods.

To handle the new

Supercharger, Viper Elec Fan, MOPAR Oil and Tranny pans(Cooling fins and hold more fluid)

And I'd get another set of 4.56 gears under it.

That's where $8k in mods would go on my truck. Hell, I bet I'd be down in the low 13's if I could keep the tires on the road good enough.

Not very realistic for a family truck with a 3yo and 6yo daughters and a wife. But I can dream!!

Re: This sucks

No I'm not with the NG...Im in the 101st, Rakkassans. Yeah, the 8,000 really added up quick. I had to sit down with a list of all my e-mails just to remember what I had bought. These little things add up quick!! Glad I have someone on here to vent to. Can't vent much here, because everybody is feeling it. Thanks

You're talking resale value, right?

Everyone keep Eddy in their thoughts and prayers for a safe return home.
