How does this post relate to your prior post about the end of the days of isolationism?

Unfortunately, we have to worry about the other guy and try and deal with the problems at home at the same time.

My point is that if we don't learn from our past mistakes - we will repeat them. For goodness sakes - what is the whole point of being the worlds ONLY Super Power if we don't start Supering ourselves into a dominant position that terrorist nations will fear to the point of not wishing to challenge us? Why can't we just diplomatically "request" permission to enter these areas - much like an exterminator asks a homeowner's permission to enter the infested property and dispatch insects? As to capabilities - one US Marine is more than equal to 10 or more of any other country's fighting personel on any given field of battle, and our Navy Seals and Delta Force specialists just to name a few available are proven and feared thoughout the world as well. We should stop holding our trained personel back and give them the opportunity to prevail. I often consider that these wars may be drawn out in order to provide higher profits for those in the world that make big $$ from supplying both sides of these conflicts. France, China, and Russia are supposed to be our freinds, yet how many times are our troops facing not only weapons made by those country's, but US made weapons as well? What's really up with that anyway? I wish I knew.
Where do I start with this?

First off, no other country is going to willingly give us permission to enter their country to conduct military operations. Think about the consequences. Would we let another country into the US to take out a terrorist group? This wouldn't be allowed even if Clinton were still the President, so don't give me the current administration bunko on this one.
No government is going to invite a foreign force in to bomb and blast and shoot and kill innocent bystanders with the excuse of taking out terrorists. If you have a country that you think would allow this, name one.

Weapons end up everywhere, it doesn't matter who makes them or when. Iran has a lot of our manufactured weapons from when the Shah was in power.

World Politics takes lots of twists and turns and each nation looks after its own interests.

We have to deal with it.

I have considered all the possibilities - and with the combined wisdom of the Titan Talk community have arrived at the perfect solution to the present situation that will satisfy all concerned.

Step 1) Recall all internationally stationed troops and put them to work making America what it should be (this makes the Liberals and anti war folks happy, as well as free up the man power to correct all domestic probems.
This includes adandoning all millitary bases worldwide and discontinuing all financial support to the world.

Step2) Use new technology developed with the money we saved by not paying for the worlds problems to construct a lead lined nuclear fallout shield all around America (and Canada too if we want to be nice).

Step3) Nuke everyone who we feel is in despirate need of a good nuking. We should do this in the spring time. (Spring Cleaning)

Step4) Free beer for everyone left alive- It's time to party after all that hard work.

Step5) The Party continues - while we wait a few centuries for the radiation levels to drop, then suit up and take what we want - after all - how much resistance can stale twinkees and mutated ****aroaches give us at that point anyway.

This plan may not be perfect - but hey - let's hear if anyone has a better one! LOL

Too practical. We will send in troops to pass out candy to children & get shot in the back.
