Engagement Ring For Sale

If any of you guys are in the market for an engagement ring, I have a really nice one for sale. Things here just didn't pan out.

It is a 1.1 carat Pricess cut. White gold, antique engraved setting.

H color; SI-1 clarity. It is certified by the European Gemological Laboratory (EGL)

I'm located in the Pittsburgh, PA area and would be willing to drive a bit to meet up if interested.

I paid $5,700 for it and would let it go for around $4,500. I would sell just the diamond if anyone would like it that way for $4,000.

I've been there buddy. In fact just a few months ago. Now I'm stuck with this dang ring that all I can think about is how much stuff i could have done to my truck for that price tag. I think I'm just going to be the insensitive as$ I am and give it not the next one thirty years down the line when I'm filthy rich and she only wants me for my money....can you tell I'm still a little bitter.

It's legaly yours. She didn't follow through with the promise therefore it's still yours. I fought hard to get that dang thing back. It helps knowing a few lawyers.

I was a bit bitter for a while, then I actually realized how lucky I was. I do wish I had the cash back, but I guess I'll look at that as cheap grad school.

It does feel really good to get the ring back. When my first wife told me she wanted a divorce, the first thing I said was "OK, then give me back the ring". She was so surprised, she did it! I had the stone removed and placed it into a pendant. My current wife wears it as a sort of trophy.

$5700, ouch. Note to all future husbands:

- Diamonds are worthless (De beers artificially inflates the price)

- Buy a cubic before the wedding with a promise to upgrade afterwards - I got the diamond for the anniversary.

Another option would be to keep the ring so you don't lose money in the deal, that is if you can afford it. Because, depending on where you got it...they allow you to trade it in because the gold and diamond doesn't lose value.. So when the next lady comes around your set.
