Piercing your face??

I dont get it, I talked to someone that had their face pierced I could barly see her ears or nose. It was sickening. I ased her why she would do that to herself. She said the same thing others have said when I asked them. "I wanted to be different!"

Thats not being different. That being like everyone else that pierces their selves. Same with tattoos. They say I want people to see my personality, again

cant you be yourself? I guess being a god fearing conservative and all, it just doesnt make sense to me why people do that to themselves. What is scary is in 40-50 years we are going to have a bunch of old ladies in nursing homes walking around on the walkers with sexy tatoos all over them. Yuck!!!

Most tatoos don't look so good after they are all wrinkled....What gets me is that some of these kids in the 12 - 15 year age have their parents pay for these accessories

Is that a new word for "Stupid". Wait 'til she develops an infection or two that is totally resistant to antibiotics. She will be walking around with a mask that covers that hole called her throat. One of my kids began doing the tats after she turned 18. I've tried to explain to her how much I feel like she is limiting herself as far as employability goes. She's 25 and doesn't listen to me though. She's still doing them. I think that at least for her, it's insecurity.

I got a tatoo 18 years ago. One of the stupidest things I have ever done. Now it will cost over $1000.00 to have it removed ,and they tell me it hurts more removing it than it did getting it.

I'm with you nut. The more they do to be "different" the more they end up the same. The future will not be kind to them.
I know I'm going to step on toes, but I've got to ask, how many jumped on the "gotee" wagon? For fun, while getting rid of a beard, I had 1 long enough to get a pic & LMAO!
Thank God those aren't permanent.

Thats just it You think its a good idea at the time But when you move up in the world and try to get that exec. job you have always wanted. They would be hesatant to hire someone with skulls and crap running up and down the arms and neck.

hahaha, ok, i have 4 tats, prolly gonna add one or two more. I don't regret any of them. They all represent somethin very important in my life, and they all can be covered up when i'm wearing a shirt and tie.

piercings on dudes is pretty queer, an too many on a chick look trashy. same with tattoos on chicks, we call 'em tramp stamps. i will say i think its kinda sexy if a chick has a little diamond stud in her nose, but thats just me

I have a good number of tattoos and none of them are visible in slacks and a short sleeve shirt. I'm in an executive position and nobody at work has any idea that I'm this "tattooed" freak.

Im with Watty on the piercing. Beyond girls getting a single ear piercing. And guys not getting pierced at all I just dont see the point.

Point taken. I don't dig chicks that are virtual pin cushions either.

Heli - you might look good with some of those spacers in your ear lobes. Give it a try and update us on your process.
