If only they would extend this into my part of Texas.

Re: 80 MPH in Texas now!

When they changed the speed limit to 75 in some parts of AZ they really cracked down if you went higher than that. Didn't last to long though. Just be cautious for a little while if your a lead foot.

Re: 80 MPH in Texas now!

So, if people usually go 10 MPH over the posted speed limit on the highway, 90 seems a little overboard for 500 miles of cruising! Heck, a few more years, a few more state limit upgrades, and we're gonna have to remove our speed limiters to drive the speed limit!

Re: 80 MPH in Texas now!

I got pulled over going 110 in a 75 in my titan in New mexico and got a warning since im in the army. 3 hours later, I got pulled over in Texas going 86 in a 70 and got a ticket for $360 for having a radar dector and going 16 over. Like it says in FMJ "Only steers and queers come from Texas."

Radar detectors are legal in Texas.

Radar detector laws by state

The use of a radar detector in a passenger vehicle is legal in all states with the exception of Virginia, Washington DC. and while on military bases.

In Canada, the only three provinces that allow their use are Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.

Many overseas countries also ban their use, such as Portugal, Finland and Spain.

In areas that radar detectors are illegal, law enforcement use a device called the Spectre that is able to detect the use of radar detector in your car or truck. For more information on the Spectre, click here.

Laser Jammers and Radar Jammers are illegal in the states of Nebraska, Minnesota, Utah, California, Oklahoma, Virginia, Colorado, Illinois and Washington DC.

Re: 80 MPH in Texas now!

depends on what he did. UI would never go that fast anyway or disrespect the posted limit in another jurisdiction
