Great idea! Hanging is too good for him. Burning is too good for him. Throw him to the beasts and let them tear him to itsy bits peices and **** him out in a week! Then everyone can say - Hey - there goes Sadam - in death as in life - a real turd pile!

I doubt our soldiers will be unscathed in the following melee.

So while I will cheer and do a jig that Saddam has gone through the justice system, I am more concerned that we face an escalated conflict that will cost us both lives abroad and a recession at home...something to think about.

Re: Death to Saddam

I definitely agree with throwing Saddam to the lions and let them tear him to pieces BUT now this goes to a review committee with 9 judges and there is no timetable in which they have to make a decision - If their decision is that he is guilty as charged THEN the execution must be carried out within 30 days. So unfortunately this may drag out for some time yet.

Either way I think that it's going to get very ugly in Iraq and short of dropping a couple of nuclear bombs to stop the fighting; I see a civil war between the Kurds, Sunni and Shiite. Unfortunately, I see another Vietnam for the US.

Re: Death to Saddam

It is all around sad. It is a shame all those people died. Hopefully he can make his peace with god. He is getting what he has sewn. "Do unto others as you wish them to do unto you"

Re: Death to Saddam

Really folks, this could have been solved a long time ago with a bullet or grenade when he was hiding in his bunker. It just pisses me off that we could have struck when the war was at its peak instead of starting a new one. We need to overturn or modify the policy of no assassination, might give the next would-be dictator something to think about. Hey, accidents happen all the time.
