The wife got another deer

Unfortunately she got this one with her Xterra. Estimate was $1200.00 luckily it will be covered under comprehensive so we wont be out any $$ . Check out the deer hair above the headlight.

The wifies ok, just scared the crap out of her, we dont know about the deer, she said it was still running the last time she saw it.

Re: The wife got another deer

Glad to hear everything is ok. I've read that one can get an infraction for hitting a dear .

Re: The wife got another deer

Glad she is OK! I hit a deer three days after I brought my Titan home. It caused $4000 worth of damage to the front.

Re: The wife got another deer

Glad she is ok. I feel your pain, I am taking my car in tomorrow to get fixed for deer damage. Bad thing is, both times it got hit by deer someone else was driving it. First time was my cousin, and second was a friend of mine. Not borrowing it out anymore.

Re: The wife got another deer

Here's a tip. If you are about to hit an animal and can not reasonably avoid it, hit it. Don't try to swerve or go around it, take emergency evasive maneuvers, none of that stuff. If you hit it, it's a comprehensive claim. You put yourself in a ditch avoiding bambi, it becomes a chargeable claim against your collision.
Cheers, Lee S.

Re: The wife got another deer

Last time my wife hit a deer, it destroyed a 70 GTO 455HO, sent here off the road and side over side 4 times. She was OK though. See'd be dead if she would have had her seat belt on though. Drivers side destroyed, roof crushed to the seat and dash.

Re: The wife got another deer

I hit a fox in a 2007 Jetta Enterprise rental last week. My truck was in the body shop getting the tailgate repainted after a neighbor kid slammed into it on a bike. I'm in the middle of trying to claim amex's CDW insurance for that one. There sure are a lot of steps
