You would think after a couple of cars someone would of went up the road and stopped before they got to the hill.
well living here in portland i can atest to how slick it was today ,,,if you like the idiots on a steep hill,, we also had over 70 tri-met busses stuck without chains at one time ....lol

I personally prefer whatever's cheap. I'd club baby seals to death and squeeze oil from their limp little bodies if I could save a buck - Mr B
Looked like the roads we had around here this weekend. We had kids from our hockey team actually skating (with hockey skates) in the yards of several homes. My wife and kids got stuck at the bottom of our yard for 45 min till we could get ropes to get them up to the house. There are very few level yards, and no level streets, around here. Makes it real fun in ice storms.

I saw the exact same situation right in front of my house when I lived in Truckee. I did go to the top of the hill to try to stop people, and they just looked at me like I was crazy and joined the pile up. The people were just standing around their cars, one guy almost got pinned between two cars. If you find yourself in that situation, get to a safe location.

If I was one of the parked cars on the side of the road I would be pissed as hell at the other idiots trying to go down hill in an ice storm. That did look really bad though.
Oh the humanity! The carnage! That's like an insurance salesman's wet dream! The body shops are going to have to install number ticket dispensers like at the deli counter. When will people learn they should not break the laws?!?!? Of physics!!!!!!
Didn't really want to bring this subject up again, but I still think studs or chains would've been a big help there.
