Anti-Terrorism solution by Gen. Pershing

Sometime before the WWI, there were numerous terroristic attacks by the Muslims against the US Armed Forces stationed in the Philippines. In 1909, Gen Black Jack Pershing was made the Military Governor of the Moro Province in the Philippines during the era where the Philippines was a US Terrritory. FWIW, this news article reprints his succesful approach to control the "Muslim Insurgency" in the Far East almost a hundred years ago.

Should history repeat itself?

It may appear to be an urban legend but the Philippine-American War history depicted a difficulty of the American Armed Forces in controlling the Moro guerillas. In fact, in response to problems encountered by the American units fighting the Moro Guerillas in this era, the .38 long Colt was found unsuitable particularly in "stopping power" and then Col. John Thompson stated that the new replacement pistols should be no less than .45 caliber. (I guess they don't want to give "warning shots")

Thus is March 29, 1911 afteramost 6 years of testing, the Colt .45ACP was adopted by the Army as their official side-arm.

As the Military governor of the Moro Province in 1909, I believe that Gen. Pershing used every available means at his disposal (including the above alledged urban legend) to protect his troops while waiting for more effective weapons to be developed for the Army's use.

we could still get away with these tactics if the damn liberal media would stay the hell out of it!!!

You know that John McCain, Pelosi, Reid, Dean, Kennedy, Schumer, Frank, Clinton, Murtha, Sharpton, Kerry, Edwards, Gore, Boxer, Feinstein and friends would be appalled and would stop it immediately, call for the court martial of all who participated, demand the resignation of the Secretary of Defense and impeachment of the President.

Look at the fallout after Abu Grahib and that weren't nothin' compared to this "urban legend."

Psychological Warfare is as old as history itself. From the Crusades thru the Cold war unto Abu Ghraib, it was always deemed as a neccesary evil. However, it became an issue when the liberal media along with above named politicians lost sight of the primary goal of war:
