Can anyone tell me anything about the Lexus LS430

My wife is looking for a new car, so I started looking at 02-04 LS 430s. There nice a roomy, Also looked at TLs and RLs, the RL seemed to have the same room as the TL.

Also almost bought a Caddy STS, but it had really bad reviews.

the LS430 is probably (i think it is) the best sedan or luxury sedan on the market. I can tell you first hand from working on them and from reading consumer reports and just knowledge about cars that compare, nothing even comes close to reliability or quietness or comfort. Although until this 07 came out, the body style hadn't been too sexy but its still a nice looking car. and i think Lexus has the best service out there as far as taking care of customers. i personally like the 04's because i believe they put 18" wheels on them that year. the LS would be my choice.

They are extremely nice and very roomy inside. My boss has one, and we take it to lunch a lot. Its very smooth, quiet, and everything is very tight on his (2002 model with over 60K miles).

They also have a 290 HP V8 and 5 speed auto, so they can move well too, although they are set up more for comfort than all out handling.

A good decision if you ask me. I've owned two Lexus (95 LS400 and 2001 IS300) and they were reliable and smooth. As my mom put it, " it drives like your on clouds".

Lexus is fine, but I live the looks of the TL. They are releaseing the 07 TL type S, 3.5L as opposed the the stock 3.2, supposed to be a screamer and its $38K new.

We both like the Avalon, and could get an 06 or 07 for the same price as a 03/04 LS.

I would buy the Avalon and put the Lexus logos on the front and back no one will know the difference, and save your self a boat load of money.

One option the Avalon doesn't come with is HID headlights. But its still a decison between the Avalon and LS
