Any one know what tool is required to adjust the headlights on a 07 Equinox? …looks like it may be a #27 Torx?
I posted on an Equinox board, but only received replies questioning why I would want to do that...Duh.
Thanks
And you posted on here because.............
I'll look under my Titan hood and see if I can tell you.

I figured I’d check here because this board has a great knowledgeable group of members who just may know, it’s worth a try until I get the manual. Also, try not to drop the hood of your truck on your head (again) while looking for the torx size.
Next question, with all of the choices between Toyota, Honda, and of course Nissan.........WHY AN EQUINOX????????. I've had that "great GM feeling"....couldn't sit down for months. NEVER AGAIN.

usually (at least on my last 2-3 cars) each headlight has a mechanism (a large screw if I remember correctly) which should allow you to adjust each bulb up/down or left/right. You will also need to move your vehicle a certain distance away from a wall (while parked on a flat surface) to figure out how high or low you will need to adjust the light.

I haven't a clue. I'm not trying to be a smartazz here, but if you think it's that size torx, have you tried it? I mean if it's a torx, if you try one and it's too small, grab a bigger one. Or vice versa.

Think of a beer cap with the crimp end being serrated; now the cap is on edge and you are looking at the serrations framed by a plastic housing, where the tool engages. I tried all my even size torx drivers; however none fit correctly; additionally is a deep recess. So it’s either an odd size torx or possibility a special tool. Presently there are no manuals available on E-bay or through Chiton or Hayes. Should I surrender and go to the dealer, no way! Additionally, if that the case, what purpose would message board provide us? I’m kind of funny, I have and will continue purchase any specialty tool I need, but I like to know hat I need…
P.S. My Post Script verbiage was incorrect on my last post, I should have stated ‘Eagles Hockey fans really suck’, sorry about that.
So, if I'm understanding correctly, it's a bit difficult visually speaking to really see what's needed? Hmmm. Where's googlewhore when you need him? Or BBF. Both are extraordinarily adept at finding stuff out there.

Here's what I would do. Go to a Chevy dealer parts department and ask them what type of tool they use to adjust the headlights on your vehicle.
Then go buy the tool if you don't already have it.
