Tundra CrewMax Rear Seats - Do They Fold Up?

Here's a question for those of you who have driven or even purchased one of the new Tundras.

Do the rear seats fold up like those in the CC Titan? All I can tell from Toyota's website is the seats fold down.

Most often the rear seats in my CC are folded up. I can put a whole load from Costco in there, my mountain bike, even the camera gear I use for work.

It's nice the seats in the Toyota recline, but if they don't fold up so you have clear access to the floor in the back that makes the truck useless in my opinion...

Anyone have the answer? The lease on my 2004 is up in a couple of months and I'm interested in the Tundra, but that rear seat space is a deal-breaker.

I don't think they do.

Looks like the seats in the extended cab version fold up.

That's what I have now and I'm 99% sure I will get either a 2007 or 2008 Titan when my lease is up in May.

But I'm still curious - guess I'll just have to go and have a look at the Toyota dealer. If it's true that the seats don't fold up, I can't wait to see what the salesperson says when I tell him that makes their truck useless (at least in my opinion)

Re: Tundra CrewMax Rear Seats - Do They Fold Up?

Not sure about the CrewMax version, none on the lot Sunday when I went for a test drive.
I test drove the Double cab version. 4 forward opening doors. Enough room for me in the back seat without hitting my knee's on the back of the front seat. Not as much room as a CC Titan. Not sure about the KC Titan. Pretty good room though.
The seats in the Double cab folded up, but not down. When folded up, there was a center support, just like the outside 2 supports, that the seat rests on when in the down position. Kinda in the way, but not real bad.
I prefer it set up the way my Titan is. Good for the big dog I have. I would have to pad and cover that center support in the Toyota so it didn't hurt my dog. He can stretch out fully in my Titan CC on those 3k miles trips up north.

Re: Tundra CrewMax Rear Seats - Do They Fold Up?

The Crewmax seats are on sliders that adjust for forward and backward movement similar to the front seats. So they don't fold up, but the backs of the seats fold down, to form a solid bench. Depending upon how the seats are adjusted(forward/ backward), there is room for storage behind the seats.
