Alright guys at my school im in an entrepreneurship class and have to come up with an business of my own. Since im always washing my truck i decided to start an auto detailing business. i was just wandering if you guys ever had you truck or other cars detailed by someone other than yourself on average how much did you pay and what services did you get?
Thanks, Jordan
no, i dont use one. the reason being is that during the wash i can actually see what damage is on the paint. swirls, scratches, dents, whatever the case might be. i also enjoy bringing the shine "back to life". lol. but they usually charge around $65. wash, engine detail, and inside vaccum.

We have a guy that comes to our office once every two weeks.
For a typical exterior hand wash, interior wipe down & vacuum he charges:
$25 - cars
$30 - midsive SUV's and trucks (this is where my Titan falls)
$35 - fullsize SUV's
He charges $60 for waxing and $20 more if you want it rubbed down with "clay" first.
Hope this helps...

damn, tcw, I wish I could get a service like that here!
That's smart...Jordan, I'd do that... go around office buildings and offer to clean out people's cars and wash them for $50 or something. Who knows, you may end up making enough dough that you won't have to work through college.

Thanks, and yea that would be awsome to get that much money, that is if i didnt spend it all on my truck. Im stock now and REALLY want that to change haha.
I talked to some guys who detail for the Lexus and mercedes dealer right next to them. They said to do the inside and outside of something this big would be around $180. Full treatment: wash, wax, vac, windows, interior, etc..... I passed and did it myself.....
Auto detailing makes a great gift. I purchased a gift certificates for a mobile auto detailer for my wife's boss and his wife. They have everything else. They were both blown away with the gift. Anyway, it was $120 for an Audi A6 wagon and $100 for a very new Audi A8.
I think that I will have the Titan detailed after the rainy season ends. I'm too lazy to do it lately.
thanks guys. you're helpin me out alot! i will let you guys know my profit at the end. O btw...anybody in houston area (preferably north west) need their Titan washed/detailed haha.
