Talking TITAN Vindicated!

I found this in WAR Stories and thought off-topic needed to see it:

Two imports giving it to the 'locals'. The reaction time of the Titan seems deliberately slow and the braking tests too odd.

What it does highlight is that for the past three years the big 3 (or is that 1 now) have been in denial and GM's latest is still SLOOOOOOOOOW.

TITAN owners should feel proud that NISSAN was the one to lead the way and now there are two 'imports' cracking the whip. Great stuff!

...and they both are truly 'MADE IN AMERICA'!

Re: TITAN Vindicated!

I don't really like tests side by side like that.....different drivers can change that test. But it is VERY obvious Toyots 1st gear is pretty low. That thing seems to launch pretty good.

Its toyotas website trying to make $$ of cource they are going to make themselves look the best. And ya it looks worse new than a Titan thats been in an accident.

I saw this on Monday and I specifically noticed the one with the camera change. The Titan was catching big time on the 'Yota and they said oops, don't want to show that.

Re: TITAN Vindicated!

Well I stepped to the dark side ,,,I bought a 2007 Tundra Reglar Cab 4x4 with the 5.7L ,,, and comparing this with my old Titan,,,,This thing is like WOW!!,,,,381 horse 4750lbs and 4:30 gears ,,,this thing is damn fast,....

I need to take it to the track and get some times.....my daughter timed it with a stop watch and got a 0-60 of 5.6 seconds.....

its not every ones ideal truck but it rides and drives very good...

did you have the towing gears in ur titan? just a gear change makes a huge seat of the pants feel change. Also a new truck feels nice and tight when comparing to a truck with loads of miles. Well its not my choice of truck but have fun and congrates. Now ur BANNED from here!!!!! hahahha no just kidding. break her in first before u start stompin on it!!!

The Automobile article lays it out http://www.automobilemag.com/feature...toyota_tundra/

Pretty accurate including the Titan remarks - Initial quality issues has dented sales.

...IMHO all trucks aren't pretty! The're rugged

That video is bulls**t. The chevy and ford would have broken down after all of those beatings.
