Ford GT40 spotted - PIC!

Saw a Ford GT40 this morning on my way to Jason's house to install my BANKS! (write-up w/pix, video coming tonight).

Snapped a pic through my passenger Big Tow mirror.

You need to come to Vegas, These cars are everywhere. It's crazy when your driving next to one. They're so low to the ground and tiny compared to everything around it.

saw the same color scheme on one when i took my son to school the the other morning. also a yellow one at the harley shop here. i would be willing to give my left nut for one, if anyone is interested.

What you saw is a rare edition my friend! Those were the 67-68 Gulf 24 hours of Lemans edition of the GT(40). Of the total 5000 units that were made, I believe 1 out of every 100 was that version. My brother-in-law recently retired from Ford (@ age 48, after 30 years of service). He worked @ the Wixom, MI facility where they made just 6 cars per day and I was given the opportunity to visit the facility last October, 1 week before they made the very last one.

i've driven one!!! but it was in my (Need For Speed: Carbon) video game. prolly the best car i have on there, after $100,000 in upgrades.

Yea, that is probably the same one...I doubt too many of those are around the Houston area.

Seen a few hear mostly in Scottsdale AZ.

I went to Pinks and saw one of them... boy.. they are some sweet looking cars. Got to sit in it, but of course not drive it. Ill take what I get lol.

The show pinks is kinda cool.. It was at Speedworld. One of these days I want to go up there and race my lifted truck lol.

there is a black one with white stipes by my house in So Cal. It looks good the guy pull next to me on a light and when it went green he steped on it they are pretty fast. but if some where to give me any car in the world id take a DB9, but i guess beggers cant be choosers

Was funny to watchin' him grit his teeth
while tiptoed thru the all that tore up road under the fwy.
