I viewed the source HTML of the website, and there was no malicious code I could see..I removed the link to be safe, and I'm running Virus Scan right now.

Re: Stillen's website just got hacked

my McAfee VirusScan says: "is a Potentially Unwanted Program (such as spyware and adware) and has been blocked from running on your computer. If you do not recognize it, remove this PUP. If you recognize it, trust this PUP, and then rerun the program that triggered this alert."

Re: Stillen's website just got hacked

My McAfee didn't take a hit on it. I'm running a couple of other things as well, just to be sure though. I'll have McAfee run again when I bail out of here.

Re: Stillen's website just got hacked

I guess that's gonna set the release of the VK Pro back. Now they have to spend resource getting the site fix.

Re: Stillen's website just got hacked

generally, the only way for your computer to be infected via a website is for it to install using the Microsoft Active-X protocol. If you running Firefox or any other browser superior to Internet Explorer (ie opera) you should be fine. If you run IE though, and you visited that site, I suggest running a virus scan.

If for some wacky reason you still dont have a virus scanner on your computer in 2007 then get avg from grirsoft. its free and a good scanner that is updated regularly. Click here for AVG. Otherwise, I suggest you stop surfing the internet now, because your just asking for stuff to get screwed up.
