Xterra Tire question? Whats easiest to find? 15" Rim

I got a friend looking for a tire that will fit his Xterra, but maybe smaller or just easier to find. Hes thinkin maybe going thinner. Hes running the P265/70-R15 right now and he says its hard to find tires especially ones that are at a good price. Hes a family man and wants just for on-road and nothing to fancy. I dont think he cares for brand either just something god thatll last. Any suggestions? What will work?

What year does he have? My father has an 03 with P265/75/R16 tires. I know he was looking at an alternate P235/70/R16. I imagine the same width and aspect ratio on 15's would work. Check Tirerack for those sizes and you should find a ton of options. Kumho Road Venture HT's are an economical option and should last awhile. You could find cheaper brands too, though.

I have 265/70/15s on my xterra. Yokohama geolander hts's. Road tread but look cool. Affordably priced. Also, 31/10.5/15 is the same size and can sometimes be cheaper than metric sized tires.
