You will probably Love this game - Rock Band by EA Games and Harmonix.

I cant wait to see this thing in front of me to play, test, and just see how it works. I wonder what the Price tag will be but it better be reasonable!!

Pretty cool. I've heard of Guitar Hero, but have never seen it or played it. So, what's the premise? You have the plug in instrument and you have to match/hit the notes that are being played on screen? Seems pretty hard if you don't actually play that instrument, no?

Thats essentially the idea. This new game adds in the ability of a Drummer, and a singer on top of a Bass and Guitar, or Lead Guitar / Rhythm guitar.

Ive never liked the singing games as I dont have a good singing voice, but this lets you and a few friends play a song. Essentially the real guitar riffs and drum beats are a bit more complex than even what they have as "Expert" since there are variations from the game to the real instrument. But the entertainment factor of being able to play a cool song without much training is just that.. entertaining.

yea it is cool it comes out 11/20/07 you can not get it on ps2 but you can get it on ps3 and im not sure about xbox 360 but the game itself is $59.99
the guitar is $59.99 and the drums are $79.99 and the microphone is $29.99 if you buy the drums guitar and microphone at seprate times that would equal $229.96 but if you buy everything and once in a pack its $199.99 and yes you can play people online

it is not a real guitar though it is like a guitar. search for it on youtube, there are a bunch of videos of this little kid rocking out on there.

200 bucks for the game, drumset, and microphone.. sounds doable... So I think I will need to buy my 360 sometime soon lol. Online play sounds awesome too. I didnt know if it truly was going to let you "battle" or not but seems you know a bit about it and thats cool!

did a double check and yes you can get int on the xbox 360 prices are the same for xbox 360 and ps3 got all my info from gamestop.com

Its an ok game if you dont play guitar for real. I have a hard time with it cause its missing so many notes and the rocking pick switch is a pain in the ars. But for wanna bees itll probly be fun. I've got the ps2 version and my buddy who doesnt play for real, comes over and kicks my butt!
I have more fun pickin a six string out in a canoe on Black creek drinkin some beers. Lets see my buddy do that with a TV,Ps2,gaytar, and extension cord!

All 360's have a 3 year warranty now, but if your looking to just walk into the store and exchange it the store warrantys are a good option. If your looking at getting one I would wait, There is a rumor that the premium 360 will be dropping to $299 next month. Rock Band should be a killer game- you can play as a band on Xbox live. There are so many killer games coming out for the 360 over the next 3 months its going to be great!

U know he could take a portable dvd player and hook up the PS2 to a external battery pack. I seem to recall someone on Titan Talk playing Guitar Hero out at Oldsmobile a few months back in the back of his truck.. lol.

That setup wouldnt work as long as yours would but its possible

You always want to switch frets if you know it goes to a higher or lower note, so yah its not a real guitar by any means but is fun.

I played in a few bands and I wasnt that great at guitar but thats why I played the drums :-)

Yah im in no rush to buy right now, but I want Halo3.. So if they come out with Halo3 before the price drop I will buy it first.

Then the all unknowing "4th" 360 they accidentally displayed at E3.... I wonder what she has under the hood.

Ah yes....that was the green Halo 3 360 It is the same as the elite model but with a 20gb HD.
