Hmmmmm... Yeah.... Logical.... $2.47 for 87 octane..... $2.89 for diesel...... At that rate disparity, the diesel will need to get at least 22-23 MPG to be as economical as the Titan..... Not a diesel guy. Is that mileage rate possible in a big diesel truck?

I don't know about now but I drove from Texas to NC and just about every were diesel was from 10 to 20 cents cheaper. It might be diffrent now but thats what I have seen.

Not all of us have the luxury to pay 2.47
2.90 - 2.95 for diesel
3.19 gas....soon to rise again and again and again

More energy in diesel than gas, its only a matter of time tree huggers favor diesel and the taxes on gas go up to force people into diesel.
Diesel trucks easily get 20-25 depending on chips, exhaust, truck set up etc. I have a buddy has a dodge diesel gets 27mpg empty. I didn't believe him until I drove with him on a trip Up Nort and we got 500 miles on a tank. It is possible, with gas its not.

Theirs a lot of factors, Deisels usually cost more up front by about 3-4K. But like what was said above they can acheive 20-23MPG. If you drive a lot of miles this will offset that cost.

Wi. is in the top 5 in the nation for high gas prices...Saw it on the news a couple of days ago and think you were #2 or 3....
Tn. is the 3rd lowest in the country, with South Carolina being the lowest for gas prices....
Gas prices are going but up from here. I don't think the truckers won't put up with the $hit we are.

This may be good for Ford. Instead of setting the standards like they first did, they can now have a chance and top them off. By 09 everyone should have their new cars, and they will see what everyone is missing and want, then they can change their design a little, and beat everyone.
All I know is if Ford is developing a new 330-horsepower 4.4-liter turbodiesel V8 and a big 425-hp 6.2-liter, they need to go buy themselves some bigger horses, because the 300 horses they used to measure the output of their 5.4 have got to be damn tiny weak little horses...
