Nice pics! Thanks! Glad to see you made it back alright from the moon. And your vacation home is pretty nice, too! But isn't that tower a little extravagant just for better TV reception?

J/K... Thanks for sharing!

I have spent a lot of time on drilling rigs like that, did you see the name of that one? It looks kind of like the Ocean Prospector.

Hmmm, not sure the name of that one. We toured the "Ocean Star", part of the Off-Shore Drilling Museum in Galveston. www.oceanstaroec.com

That is where I was staying at--Galveston, nice town.

Saltgrass Steakhouse----best steak I've ever had. Much better than anything I've had here in PA.

Nasa Space Center--wasn't that impressed really. Took the "Tram Tour" to see Mission Control and the Saturn rocket. The center itself was geared toward the elementary age bracket.

Beaches--nice beaches, picked a bad week for "scenery" if ya know what I mean, wasn't much to look at <wink, wink>

Night Life- Galveston was pretty dead on Friday. Went to Clear Lake on Saturday night, it was much better

Had a great time though overall. Got to visit several friends and meet some other new people too. Would definitely go back.

Looks like a 2nd generation to me, look at the cranes. Im not sure what ever happened to the Prospector, or if its still in Diamond's fleet.

Re: Some Pics from my Texax trip...

Theres never a whole lot to look at on the beaches in Galveston!! ha, me and a bunch of friends last summer rented a huge beach house down there, and threw a big party. Invited all kidns or random people we met while we were down there, and it was fun. Im glad you enjoyed your trip.
