That's fine if you like living in ONE ROOM for the rest of your life!

Re: Living in a motel?

I travel for work, staying on the road for 3 weeks on and 1 week off. It sucks so bad but it got me out of Iraq. Not having to clean your room definetly rocks but being away from my new wife for that amount of time blows. I get one week to get in all the I can get in. After the first few times she is sore and wont let me touch her. Oh well, the pay is decent.

I travel to Boston frequently and stay at a "suites" style hotel (seperate bedroom, small kitchenette). Everytime I was staying there, I noticed the same elderly couples. I was curious and asked the clerk at the front desk. Turns out these people live there instead of an old folks home. It is cheaper, they get breakfast each day, dinner four times a week, laundry is onsite, housekeeping, someone is always on duty if there is an emergency. The hotel has a few courtesy vans which take them wherever they need to go in the local area, there is a pool, park nearby, mall across the street, nice neighborhood.

Sounds like a pretty good deal compared to being in an old folks home as long as you can still get around.

Re: Living in a motel?

They probably like the attention they get, along with having no housework!
