Question Garmin GPS

I was thinking on purchasing the Garmin Nuvi 680 after reading alot of good reviews about it. For those that have it or used it, I would like to get your opinions on it, or what you would recommend to get that would be better.

Re: Garmin GPS

I just bought the Magellan 4040 at Costco for $399, the reviews I read were pretty good for it, especially AFTER the firmware update they just put out a few weeks ago. Many of the reviews you'll find are pre-update, I was happy with it before the update and even happier with it now. I just hooked it up to my computer and it updated everything automatically. Price is right, screen is large and bright, and the Costco return policy is pretty much unlimited. I asked the dept. head specifically if this fell within the new 90 day electronics return policy Costco has, and he said that the GPS units were not included in the 90 day, you could return it whenever you wanted to.

I bought it before going on a couple of long trips with the thought that I would try it out and if I liked it I'd return it and find it online cheaper......well, I like it and can't find it cheap enough online to warrant the hassle of returning it.

Re: Garmin GPS

I have a garmin street pilot. I like the maps on the garmin. I think they are easier to read. Very user friendly. From what I have read and heard from other users Garmin seems to be the favorite. I am very happy with mine.

Re: Garmin GPS

I just picked up a Garmin Nuvi 650 after having my wife's 200 for awhile. Love the easy to use interface and the widescreen is great for viewing night or day.

Re: Garmin GPS

I have an iway 350 from lowrance. I just put it up on ebay and it is new. The first one I bought quit working and I bought another before I went on vacation and sent the first one to be repaired. Well, they sent me a brand new unit and I don't need both. Here is the link if you are interested.
