They must hire the stupidest people alive to deliver their packages. I ordered a new computer and video card from Dell the other day. The video card showed up 4 days ago (as expected) and the computer was supposed to show up today. Turns out that the same driver that delivered the video card 4 days ago couldn't find my street today and did not deliver it.
I called their hot line to find out why after seeing it on the tracking report and got even more frustrated. I was told that "they will make sure it is delivered tomorrow". We all know the same driver will be doing the delivering. What makes them think he will be able to find my house tomorrow after not being able to do it today?
Think my computer will be in working condition when it arrives? Any takers on that bet?

Fed ex is going thru some large changes with there drivers right now. Pretty much screwing them. Fed ex drivers have to buy there routes there not like UPS. If the driver doesnt own more than 2 routes they are taking there route away from them or they have a set time right now to buy another. Pretty much putting alot of drivers up **** creek. That might have something to do with it.
At least with FedEx you know eventually it will be delivered. With UPS it will get the crap kicked out of it, lost for a week and delivered in a plastic bag with a sorry-we-kicked-the-crap-out-of-your-package note on it.
I get deliveries from fedex, and everytime it suppose to be express it takes 3 sometimes 4 days. I would choose not to use this carrier if I could but there are some vendors that insist on using them. I think it has to do with where they are. If the delivery guy is on one side of town monday anyone on the otherside of town has to wait till he is in our area to deliver to us. I guess they save gas that way, But if you can't deliver it on time don't offer express service.
I think FexEX is far superior then UPS but that’s been my past experience. I’m sure it’s just luck of the draw, every company is going to have a few bad employees..
Here is why I hate UPS
I order computer stuff from newegg UPS 7 day delivery (I believe). It gets shipped the next day and arrives in Vegas on the 2nd day. Do they stick it in a truck on the 3rd day! Hell no! It hasn’t been 7 days! Can I drive 10 miles and pick it up at the UPS warehouse? Hell no! It hasn’t been 7 days! On the 7th day they finally stick it in a truck. Screw UPS. I play more just to not ship UPS.
Anyway good luck with your computer, Sorry you had to get a DELL (customer service is a complete joke, monkeys with flow chats) You should try building your own from site like newegg. It’s actually pretty simple. Tons of computer forums that will walk you through it if needed…
Well, this isn't what I wanted to hear. I just bought a phone and it's being delivered FedEx, lol.
Hopefully you get your stuff tomorrow and it's not damaged, good luck.
We use UPS at work everyday. In my experience they will throw some boxes but so does FedEx. Most everything we have shipped or that has been delivered has been done on time. We always use ground and get things generally in 1-3 days. Glad we haven't experienced the stuff you guys have. That could be very bad for business.

I never had a problem with UPS, The packages are always in excellent shape. I work for the US postal service in a processing plant. (Maintenance dept) You want to see packages Flubbed up. I've seen many packages flattened like pancakes. I would definetly prefer UPS overall. (my opinion)
I recently had to go through the FedEx shipping agreement with a fine tooth comb. They disclaim liability for many many things. If you ship something valuable & fragile, you really need to think strongly about 3rd party shipping insurance.

My company uses UPS and they are horrible! For some reason, they can't seem to find me and I live on a major street in the largest city in the world. Instead, they would prefer that I spend $20 in cab fares to go to their facility and pick up the package. I don't think so!
As for Dell, lately they are getting much better reviews for their customer service. I don't have any firsthand experience though because, fortunately, I haven't had to call them for help with one of the 3 Dells I own. Just relaying what I've read recently. In fact, Jeff Jarvis (the blogger at BuzzMachine) who gave them a royal lambasting about a year ago now says they have gone from "worst to first". Assuming it's true, it's always good when a big company actually listens and responds to customer feedback.

I only ordered from them because they seem to be the last company in the world that hasn't given in to MicroSucks and insist that they can only install Vista from now on. I have no interest in Vista. Every machine in my company has XP Pro on it. I do not want to deal with a new OS in a production environment.
It is 8:30 and still no PC.

If they delivered on the 3rd day when you opt for 7-day, then why would people every choose 2nd day delivery or express. If you're cheap and pay for 7-day and then you get 7-day instead of 3-day....how can you be pissed off?????
