Interesting that this information was released so early. Rumor has it that it will be available sometime in mid 08. They finally got rid of the after-thought instrument cluster which always seemed flimsy to me. It also looks like Nissan has been paying attention to interior material quality. I drove a Rogue last week and was impressed with the interior improvements, but the interior is a bit tight for my height.
Back to the Murano, there are some controversial styling elements in the new design. The front headlights and grill are a bit more futuristic looking, a bit out there. Body lines are a bit more sculpted and the front fender/hood ridges suggest that maybe this design spent some time in the wind tunnel. I expect this to be a very quiet ride and good directional characteristics. The current Murano was not bad to begin with. Built on the Altima D platform, it has promise of reduced torque steer and improved handling. Looking forward to driving one.
