Those things fail in lots of vehicles. Our GMC pickups and Internatinal trucks, have had many failures.

Yeah it sucks for alot of people though. I sure dont enjoy any TSB's or recalls for that matter. I feel great that i havent had to take my Titan in for anything that has caused crashes.

Re: Ford recalls 1.17 million vehicles for engine flaw

Ford should consider hiring new electrical and management system engineers. I haven't seen a automotive company more plagued with electrical issues than Ford. One reason I didn't consider a Ford is that I know if I had an electrical issue, I doubted that there would be a competent Ford technician that could solve the problem. Everyone has a problem from time to time, but my experiences with Nissan as a whole has been pretty dependable in this area.

Re: Ford recalls 1.17 million vehicles for engine flaw

just take a ford f150 chevy 1500, dodge 1500 and look at the difference in how the wires are run.... cant explain just look... looks like ford put the engine in then decided they "need a wire here, another one there, a harness here... oops now we need a hose here, just zip tie it to the first wire we ran... now anoter one here and so on" that should be some clue as to the extent of the ford electrical engineering mind...
