new knight rider

David Hasselhoff is in talks to appear on NBC's "Knight Rider," reprising his role as Michael Knight from the original series. Also cast in the movie/pilot is Deanna Russo of "The Young & the Restless," who will play the female lead opposite fellow soap star Justin Bruening.

"Rider" is a sequel to the 1980s series that centers on Mike Tracer (Bruening), Michael Knight's son who never knew his dad.

Burned by his love for childhood best friend and one-time girlfriend Sarah Kamen (Russo), Mike is wasting away in Las Vegas when Sarah reappears and is willing to pay off Mike's gambling debt in exchange for help.

Sarah is the brilliant estranged daughter of KITT inventor Charles Kamen, who works as an assistant professor in the engineering department at Stanford. When she receives word from talking-car KITT (Knight Industries Three Thousand) that her father is missing, she and KITT set out to find and recruit Mike.

Re: new knight rider

Why is KITT a mustang now? It would've been better if they made him the new Camaro. Hope this show doesn't end up like Team Knight Rider, which sucked hard.

And I don't see how that old school gauge cluster from the original Kit car is going to work in a mustang.

And it is a 'stang...where's the TA of the 80's? It should be a 350Z or new GT-R, then it would be a Super Knight Rider

Or, the new Z06 Corvette. Then they could put the sweeping red light right in the hood scoop. If they did it with the Z06, they could at least have kept it in the GM family.

Re: new knight rider

Lose the stupid wing and the fake air ducts on the doors, and it wouldn't look all that bad. The new Mustangs look kinda "pudgy" though, don't they? They need to go on a diet....Name: treadmill.gif

Re: new knight rider

I wonder how much money Ford paid to have them use the Mustang. I agree they should have used the Vette or Camaro.
