Truck vs. Pole Video, think someone could walk away?

Pretty gnarly stuff. And yes, it is work safe. Nothing graphic, except for a damaged truck.

Yeah, they use them in Europe... I've seen several videos of these in action... Pretty impressive how nothing damages them... They should be installed outside all our foreign military bases.... Drive your bomb trucks into this, mofos!!!!!

Thats incredible. That truck gets completely destroyed, the driver would never know what hit him. I wonder how deep it is placed.

i wonder how deep the footing goes? BB??

i don't care if anyone lives after hitting them, quite frankly if you are driving a truck into a building your life expectancy is much lower...

Re: Truck vs. Pole Video, think someone could walk away?

I would like to know how the poles know when to come back up. I'm assuming after your car passes, it knows nothing else is over top of it so it comes back up. What if you have a trailer?? I'd be pissed if that thing shot up under my titan or if I was pulling a boat.

WOW......that had to leave a mark!!!! Wouldnt be too good if the guy detonated the explosive at the right time and it got shot forward into the guard area though.

Re: Truck vs. Pole Video, think someone could walk away?

They are for government vehicle's only, i.e. buses, mail trucks, police etc... they all have sensors they tell the poles to drop upon approach and when to come back up (no trailers).... the cars getting damages entered a "Pedestrian Only" zone before 8am and should have left before the 8am - 6pm zoning rules, thats why their in there and can't get out silly buggers... business owners can apply for a override for delivery's but it's frowned upon, and only granted if there's to other means for delivery normally they are told to unload outside the pedestrian zone and use a dolly.... if the Traffic wardens see you abusing a pass for the poles they will shut you down asap....

<~~~ Lived in the UK for 21 years these things were always a pain in the A$$ if you where somewhere you didn't know; normally the roads within the zone are made of a brownish colored bricks (no tarmac) but still it was easy enough to get caught out...

Ohh yeah, when I was a kid we would always hang around and watch when someone got stuck, they would be freaking out, scratching there heads, they inevitability called the cops, but when the cops got there they would write them a ticket before letting them out... the look on there faces was priceless

They have those at all the plants around my house. If you are not supposed to be somewhere they raise them up too stop trucks from entering. They only lower them for authorized vehicles.
