Re: For those who own a motorcycle or are considering one..

Now this is a safety net I wish I had with my bikes. I could use two ladies like that to help me get rolling

Re: For those who own a motorcycle or are considering one..

Graphic video. Seeing someone die, especially in such a traumatic way, is never easy. It reminds us of our mortality I guess.

I'll stay out of the debate about whether you should've posted it or not.

I ride (see pick to the left) and I'll continue to while being as careful as possible.

None of us are getting out of this world alive.

I live for wheelies......well, I pulled one with the wife on the back once, ONCE. I've wheelied at speeds of 85+, and love stoppies. We used to wheelie standing on the seat, and on occasion used to surf bikes. The Transalp I had was a wheelie machine, 1/4 mile wheelies where pretty easy. I've slowed down in my old age a bit, but off road I still jump anything I can find, two or four wheels. I've even mastered the stoppies on the quadrunner. I'm the only person my friends said can wear out the sidewalls before the center tread, and keep plenty of extra peg feelers on hand.

When my kids ride with me though, its speed limits and drivers ed style.

Re: For those who own a motorcycle or are considering one..

Yeah, twice. Both in the canyons. First one; just going way to fast on a street that's new to me, hit guard rail and went off cliff. Second one; put me out for about a couple of years, hit a corner too hard (90+mph) and had too much throttle and back tire came out on me. Causing me to loose control; bike went under a car, me hitting car and flipping over car, hitting mountain side. A lot of broken and fractured bones, plus torn tissue and internal bleeding during the process. Lets just say, nowadays I don't ride like that anymore. I ride with young riders that think their sh*t don't stink but I tell all my riders "I'm not out to prove a thing, I'm only out to enjoy the fresh air". I don't think they really believe me, the front end comes up every once in a while.
