No full size pickup truck is holding their value these days. The money is in economy and crossover vehicles thats what hot right now. Dealers are having a hard time moving the Full size SUV's and pickups. If you don't care about gas prices this is the time to buy your truck, because all the grocery haulers are bailing to the crossover market. I personally use my truck for my business and personal use and its a tax deduction for me so trucks will stay in my family.

05 Nissan Titan LE CC Smoke BTW 4X4 ARE Tonneau
I am getting $24,500 trade for my '04 CC LE 4X4. That's Canuck $'s. But what works is to sell in Canada and buy in the States. I only paid $34,500 for a 2008 2500 4x4 Burb that sells for $58,500 in Canada (That's used 2008s)

Just passed the 57,000km mark!
Born on 03/04
Now it is up for sale - or at least the BFGs and the Cap!
I was parked next to a Tundra the other day and couldn't believe how small my Titan looked. And this wasn't even the big Tundra.Lol.
LOL! Now I know you're either blowing smoke, or you somehow were able to construct a shrink ray and use it on your Titan... I've owned one of those Tundras and they're not even considered full size.
On the test drive I didn't notice any vibration. I did take it down a pretty bad tar road just for that purpose. It was bumpier (stiffer) than the titan. I got on it a couple times too... it doesn't "feel" much faster than the Titan.
As far as blackbook, dealer seem to switch to whatever will give them the best deal. NADA reported 19-21 for trade, KBB reported 18, blackbook reported, you guessed it, 16.5. So what that tells me is blackbook is probably put together by a conglomerate of car dealerships.. I also noticed blackbook didn't let you add options like KBB and NADA did.
And I used "good" as the condition. Your vehicle, once it's off the lot, is never considered "excellent" again.

You must be talking about a 2000-2006 Tundra, not the 07-08 Tundra. If you consider the 07-08 Tundra not to be full size, then the Titan is certainly not full sized either.

My thoughts exactly, the Tundras look HUGE whenever I see them. I came from a Tacoma double cab (2004) needing a "little bit" larger truck and I saw the Titan as a "little bit" larger truck, of course when I got closer to a Titan and drove one it was a HUGE differece. Even the f-150 appears bigger than a Titan. Not sure what it is, but the Titan just looks small to me.
I started looking for trucks in 2004 and really liked the Titan but problems with the brakes, rear differential, etc made me shy away. Well my Silverado was not going to last forever (although I still have it) so I was very excited when the 2007 Tundras came out. I test drove the Limited CC 4wd Tundra and really didn't like the harshness of the ride or the gage tunnels in the dashboard. When the 08 Titans came out I made the mistake of test driving one (I am pretty frugal when it comes to vehicles). Well, I bought the 08 LE CC 4WD for what seamed like a good price (4,350 below invoice). I also drive Fords and Chevys between 04 and 07 and as you can see I came back to what interested me origially in 2004. I love everything about the Titan except the MPG which I knew going in. The fun factor of driving the Titan is off the chart.
I looked at and drove everything but a Dodge. In a half-ton 4x4 crewcab.
The Toyota was nice but way overpriced. I drove a limited with the works.
Just way to soft in the handling and they onlny wanted to give me $9000 for
my 03 Ford F-150 Supercrew. The Ford sucked altogether and the Chevy was kind of bland.
I drove a Titan in town and loved everything about it. The Nissan dealer here is a POS and didnt want to deal. They screw everyone. I have bought both of our Nissans at the same place 100 miles away. They gave me the best deal over the phone and gave me $13500 on my trade site unseen.
It's kind of funny reading all these posts from current Titan owners who are considering dumping their trucks for the new Tundra because of the 381hp 401TQ. What's going to happen when the '09 Ram comes out with the new 380hp/400tq 5.7 VVT Hemi? Trade the Titan in for one of those? What about the reported Escalade/Denali based 400hp 6.2L the Silverado/Sierra is going to get when the 364hp 6.0L VortecMax is finally retired? Trade the Titan in for one of those too? For someone who plans on keep their truck until the wheels fall off, I just don't get the mentality of trading a truck in every 2-3 years. The financial loss at trade in time is mind boggling for someone like me. Hopefully, Nissan will eventually up HP/TQ on the Titan to remain competitive again.
Right now, I'd rather have 35-40hp less with better styling and a REAL truck frame that's fully boxed front to rear. Don't get me wrong, the Tundra is a nice truck especially when you consider the huge rebates/cashback incentives Toyota is offering. However, I did see a brand new Tundra going over bumpy road around here and I could literally see the bed wiggling back and forth relative to the front cab section. I couldn't believe my eyes and this was before the bed bounce problem was revealed on that Ford video on YouTube. I've seen countless Titans/Rams/Silverado/F-150's on the road around here and I've never seen the kind of bed flex I saw on that new Tundra. Before I got the Titan, I had an '88 Toyota hilux PU and the frame was fully boxed. That's why the older Toyota PU's (pre Tacoma) are highly regarded in the Toyota enthusiast community. They were all basically 3/4 ton trucks due to the fully boxed frame design. The 2wd Tacomas are only boxed under the cab section. Not sure about 4X4's though. You couldn't kill those older Hiluxes.lol! Those things were bullet proof....engine and body. Those were the trucks Toyota built their reputation on.
Personally, I think the new GMC Sierra is the best looking truck with the Titan a close second. I was looking at a brand new light blue metallic (Sierra exclusive color) GMC Ext cab with the 6.0 VortecMax one day and I must admit, I did get the urge to trade the Titan in.lol! However, the $36K sticker staring at me on the window quickly snapped me back to reality.lol! When GM finally discontinues the 6.0L and replaces it with the 400hp Denali based 6.2L engine on the VortecMax trucks, I may seriously consider getting a GMC Sierra someday. The Titan is still the best value in fullsized 1/2 tons out there IMO. The rumors of a Dodge Ram based Nissan Titan puts a bad taste in my mouth if you ask me. I'd rather have a real Nissan based Titan.
I test drove a 5.7L Tundra when they first came out to see what all the fuss was about and it didn't really impress me. The steering had that Camry-based vague feel it and handling wasn't as good as the Titan. The engine was more responsive and it did feel a little faster. Or course, I'm sure the 5.7L I-force doesn't have the stupid 40mph WOT throttle restriction like and the free flowing factory tubular headers and the low rear gear ratio probably helped as well. But for me, I can't understand taking a $10K hit just to be 3-4 tenths faster (if that) in 1/4 mile when you can use that money for mods on the Titan to be almost a second faster and still have money left over in your pocket. I just don't get the "keepin' up with the Jones's" mentality I guess.

What a well composed and thought out post. We think alike.

Hell no im not tradin in the titan! My truck looks better than all the other offerings IMO. It does what i need it to do, and will smoke all the others in its class including the tundra (excluding the single cab though if they run under 13) and with mods included its still cheaper!! If someone comes out with somthing bigger and better good for them i love my truck. We all saw the tundra fall apart off the showroom floor in 07 as well. New designs are never a good time to buy

If you're worried about 1/4 mile, get an SRT-10...
