I had the oportunity to park my 08 4WD CC next to an 08 Tundra TRD Crewmax yesterday. My Titan cab was taller and the Titan tailgate area was taller. Overall the trucks were very similar in exterior size. One thing I have always noticed is how the Titan's side windows are very flush with very narrow trim. This really stood out as an aesthetically pleasing feature when compared to the Tundra. I realize that looks are in the eye of the beholder and I really don't care about how large a truck looks. I just couldn't quite understand some of the "Titan looks small" comments. I hope that the Titan never joins the "who can build the truck with the biggest grill" contest.
One more observation. I also have a 1999 Nissan Maxima. The thing that stands out the most between the Maxima and the Titan is that Nissan seams to really do a good job when it comes to designing vehicles that have a great feel for the road. If I had to pick one thing it would be how fun these vehicles are to drive. As a side note, the Maxima has 150K miles on it and you can stand a nickle on end on top of the engine while it's running (a friend of mine did this to prove a point).
If I had to pick one thing it would be how fun these vehicles are to drive.
I think my s2000 and my M3 would top my list of cars I have driven to be really fun. I never thought I'd own a Nissan, but then again I'm not a name brand nazi - I'm open to all cars. Coincidence that we might be getting a g35 coupe soon... from Toyota/Lexus to Nissan/Infiniti.
Dude hes bragging about giving you a $39k truck for $35k? BS he need to be around $35k out the door. Toyota dealers are some of the worst they think they are selling gold. Personally i dont like the new or old tundras one bit, although i do like the tacomas. I think the tundras are ugly, but thats just my personal taste. I didnt like the titan the first time i saw it but now think its the best looking out there. Get what you like though.
Skip all negotiating with dealers. Go on cars direct and get quotes emailed to you. ask the dealer who emailed if they could do a little lower than that. Take that number in and talk to the "fleet manager". They dont work on squeezing every penny just shouveling out vehicles as fast as possible. Thats how i got a $32k stickers kingcab LE for $24k OTD Good luck and dont settle!!!!!!
That is exactly how I bought my CC SE as well. I was 23,8 and some change out the door.

Forgot to mention that I did drive a CrewMax limited with the larger v8. The acceleration and braking were impressive. But the interior was all messed up to me and not near as nice as the 08 le. Prices were outrageous also. I easily decided to stay with the Titan when I traded to an 08.
Yoda loyalists tried to convince me that the higher prices on the new Tundra are justified based on the Yoda reliability and resale value. Its been proven that neither one is as rock solid as in past years so why is Yoda still charging higher prices compared to other similar Pickups?

Actually, when comparing my model Tundra to a comparable Titan KC pro-4x, the prices are almost the same. When you compare the features of the two trucks, the small price difference disappears.
A Pro-4x equipped as close as I could get to my Tundra MSRP at $40,875, my Tundra MSRP was $41,428, less than $1000 difference.
with the Tundra you get a truck that is larger inside except for head room.
You get a larger more powerful engine, 6 speed, 4:30 diff with a 10.5" ring gear. None of these are available on the Titan.
Every Tundra comes with side air bags, which you can turn off, and every 4wd Tundra comes with VSC and 3 types of brake activated limited slip that work differently depending upon your driving conditions, you can turn on or off as you wish,(that feature alone would have saved Nissan thousands of $ in repairs), 2wd's come with two types of LS.
You also get a tow mode that is much more advanced than the Titan's.
I paid $33,235 plus tax,$8,193 below MSRP, that was before the $2-3000 rebates were available.
So, at least for the model and trim level of my Tundra, there is little if any difference in price, especially when you add in the additional features. In fact, my tundra may actually end up cheaper than a comparably equipped Titan KC Pro-4x.
