So, at least for the model and trim level of my Tundra, there is little if any difference in price, especially when you add in the additional features. In fact, my tundra may actually end up cheaper than a comparably equipped Titan KC Pro-4x.
I found that to be true myself. I tried to trade my 04 titan for a Pro-4X King Cab the other day. It stickered for a little over 36K, they would only come off MSRP by 2K and only wanted to give me 13K for my truck [which stickered at over 33K when new] this was after two hours sitting in the "hot seat." Just for the heck of it I drove down to the Toyota Dealership for a look see, they had a Double Cab SR5 with more bells and whistles than the Pro 4X and it was priced at 36K also. They came off MSRP by 3K and offered me 14K for my Titan, this was there first offer, and i'm pretty sure they would come down more but I really wasn't interested in trading that day. I hate to say it but I was mighty impressed with the way the Tundra drove. I was very tempted to drive it home, but since I have a brand new rear end in the Titan I will probably keep it another year or so. If i've said it once i've said it a thousand times, who ever gives me more bang for my buck is what i'll be driving, the hell with being brand loyal.

They must have been short old men, because when I sat in one there was only 1/4 inch of head room with the seat all the way down and the seat reclined to where it was not comfortable. I'm 6' 4". I didn't even pursue a test drive.
No doubt about it, as I stated before, the Titan has .8" more head room than the Tundra, every other interior dimension in the Titan is smaller than the Tundra.

Is there a 'standard' by which these measurements are made?? I too, sat in the Tundra, and feel the same way as technorev. I'm 6'7" and you can't tell me how I felt sitting in the Tundra--it was smaller. Less hip room, less room by my legs, less headroom.

same with me i am well a little big six foot 3 weigh 290 pounds tundra was extremely uncomfortable.
These were the two trucks competing for my money back in november or october whenever it is i bought my titan.
It really was a no-brainer for me. I was comparing a 4x4 08 Titan LE lwb with an 07 Tunday DC 4x4 long bed. The crewmax isn't available with a long bed, so i was stuck with the dc. one strike against the tundra.
The tundra is a great truck, i like the exterior, and the interior is good (although the 08 titan is nicer, 04-07 titan i give the edge to tundra). It is DAMN FAST the engine is such a gem.
But in the end i could get the 2008 LE LWB (with bluetooth, leather, dual climate control etc) for about 4k less then i could get the 07 DC SR5. It was a no brainer.
When it comes time to buy my next truck, assuming all manufacturers have smartened up and are offering 1/2 tons with crewcabs and long beds, the search will be a lot more competitive.
