i live out in the country next door to my inlaws. its not uncommon for dogs to be dumped out by people who don't want them. two lab puppies showed up one day and just stayed. thursday my inlaws were served by our next door neighbor for $1000 in damages to the wheels and tires of there vehicles because these dogs urinated on them. i've yet to meet a dog that doesn't do that. what are your opinions on this as the dogs are strays and there is no record that they belong to anyone.

Re: inlaws being sued because dog urinated on tires
I would start doing really bad things to those neighbors. Just gotta make sure you dont get caught. It really amazes me how a little communication could solve so many problems....

I had a horse trailer with rims that were ruined because the neighbors dogs pissed on them all the time. It cost me more than $150.00 to replace the rims and have the tires mounted. I can see where the neighbors are upset.

If they can prove damage then they have a case. I don't see where there is damage from urine. Maybe these folks are so used to seeing their wheels with brake dust residue that the dog pee washed off some areas?
