Did you ever think of a job in law enforcement? I make about 110k a year, 65% pension after 25 yrs and 70% after 30 yrs. great benefits!! Best job in the world!!
Wow what is the cost of living where you live, most people in law enforcement I know only make about 40k a year, and that is after a few years. I think most start off at 32k a year.

Your Brown is My green.
Great to hear! I've been in Sewer Rehab for over 21 years. We fix the pipes in the street, headed to your kingdom! Video Inspection/Grouting etc. I fix the equipment we use.
I have an AA in Law Enforcement. Stayed in the Sewers though. lol.
To the OP, go to the library to save a few bucks, and get the book "What Color is My Parachute" It is the absolute standard to help you figure out where to aim for success. Every librarian knows the book.

Come to Oklahoma! Companies are having job fairs all the time begging for good employs. The economy here dose not follow the rest of the country. If oil is high, then our economy is good.

I hear ya, I actually gave some thought to re joining, but the pay cut would bankrupt my family. If they would match my pay, then i would probably do it again.
Look in to the utility field. Im a transmission system substation operator (high voltage electricity), and work is very stable. It is a very well paying job, with good benefits, that can't be shipped over seas. Once you get trained and become qualified, you will have a job for life and will have no trouble getting hired anywhere in the country.

Haha they don't really care, my dad's enjoying the time off and they have no outgoing expences really. Their SRT 10 is payed off, their expedition is payed off, my mom's superduty has 3 months til it's paid off, they paid cash for their house when they built it 4 years ago, my dad's superduty is payed off, my titan is payed off, all my dad's play truck's are paid for, my dad's boat's are payed off, as well as his 4wheelers. My mom does work so we can get affordable health insurance, but my dad is loving the time off. It gives him time to go down to the keys to dive and go out to Texas to the mud nats., and enjoy all his toys that he didn't get to play with very much for the few years he worked 7 days a week.
