I was just wondering if any of you guys have seen, rode or own one of these machines. I have been checking them out on the internet but haven't seen any in person. I am an ex R1 owner, looking for a more upright riding position.

Well........tell me your opinion of the B-king. The R1 that I owned previously was a wicked fast bike but I found it uncomfortable under 80mph. The riding posistion puts to much weight on your hands, but I don't want to give up the speed nor much of the handling. If you work at a dealership, I'm sure you have rode them all (wish i could do the same) and have an opinion on what would fill my requirements. Thanks.
Anyone else with any info or opinions out there????
I think that I would try the Hayabusa, the riding position is not as agressive
as the R1. I ride the Bandit 1200, with a lot of engine mods, because I am to old and stiff for the sport bikes.

Try the GSXR 1000 also, I found the gixxer's to be more comfortable than the yammys, bars are a bit higher.

+1 on that. I've ridden my buddy's Gixxer 1000 and it's about as upright as a sportbike gets.
If you want something fast sext and upright look at the Aprilia Tuono or maybe the Yamaha FZ-1. The FZ-1 is pretty much just a half naked upright R1. I've ridden one of those as well and they are FUN!!

I have sit on a new GSXR 1000 and they do have a more upright position. It seems that the tank is shorter, which helps out also. The bike just seems small, much smaller than the 2003 R1. I'm 6'1" 240lb. I'm not crazy on the looks of the FZ1.
A friend of mine has a KTM 990 Supermoto and loves it; but we don't have any dealers in this area.
You know what's a really awesome naked bike now that you mention KTM... is the KTM SuperDuke! I rode one at a KTM demo day and it was FUN! Wheelie monster doesn't start to describe it.
I rode the B-king over the weekend. It is a little more comfortable then my 07 gsxr1000. I don't like the looks of it at all. I'll take a Vmax instead.

I really like the looks of the 990 SMR but they are not making them in 08
It had a ton of torque as advertised. I didn't get to ride it too fast but it took corners pretty well. It's a very smooth bike. If the styling is what your looking for, by all means.
