Us godless liberal Yankees, along with pretty much the rest of the world, refer to that as running away.
As for the words thing, this is a discussion forum, professor. Did you expect a rubber glove to pop out of the screen and slap you in the chops?
Funny though. The godless liberal makes a comment about organized religion, and the religious "turn the other cheek" and "forgiveness" crowd starts with the threats and insinuations. This is why I think organized religion is not only for weak minded people, but it's a joke since most folks who so proudly profess to be religious, behave completely to the contrary of what they claim to uphold.
I'm a big guy, and physical confrontations bore me to death. I've never lost one, so I see no challenge there. I didn't come here to toss idle threats around either, but I did post something in an attempt to state the true facts of the matter.
You have yet to address that post, so what are we doing here?

As I said, organized religion is for weak minded people that need something to follow.
...and that wasn't rhetoric. When you can refute those facts, you let me know, Hoss.
You may now resume your regularly scheduled right-wing fantasy.
Blakker, you, and others involved in a previous thread, have been warned about insulting others regarding their beliefs and yet you still continue.
Rules have been imposed to deal with this and yet you still continue.
You have earned yourself a 7 day timeout and I would advise that those who have read what you have posted and are thinking of responding in kind, to think again.

1. Don't do that again.
2. Bashing organized religion while it may bother some people, does not constitute a personal attack.

This post in and of itself is a rules violation. Any questions about the actions of a moderator will be handled by a PM to that mod, or another mod or administrator.
Re: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton.
and that's how i thought Blakkers' penalty would have been handled (in a PM), i've never seen it done so in a thread before, so i thought it fair game to respond as i did. I'm not trying to defend blakker, as we have seen he is more than capable. This is a great forum, and you guys do a great job as moderators and contributors, and i sincerely mean that. The fact that we are allowed to discuss a subject such as this on a truck forum speaks well to the openess and just the general way this forum has been allowed to operate. Cheers!!

I have seen it handled on the thread many times before.
Re: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Since two of my moderator brothers decided to post in this thread, I thought I would also chime in here.
All I have to say is we are always watching you and what you post. That is what we are not paid for.
We are also insulted on an almost daily basis when something we do goes against someone else's image of their right to say whatever they want on a forum they neither own or pay to support.
Remember people, we are also members of this forum and have to abide by the same rules as you do.

It'd be nice if we could have conversations (debates) over controversial issues without them turning into personal attacks. I like that in this case the members throwing the attacks were banned rather than the thread being closed. Although we all know what my opinion is worth (it's up to .04 with inflation).

I agree completely, instead of closing threads they should just ban the troublemakers. Warn them once, then ban there a**. I really hate it when people get on a thread and sound like 1st graders whinning about closing a thread. Grow up, and don't read it if you don't like it.

adavis99, we don't see eye to eye on many issues. I suppose it might be the way we were raised, geographical location, age, or whatever. But, I will have to say at least you don't resort to name calling and personnal attacks, and I commend you for that.
