Re: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

I also commend everyone who has stayed away from personal attacks. This thread can continue to exist as long as everyone understands that. You do not have to agree with each other, but you do have to respect everyone's opinion. If you cannot comment without insulting someone, do not post anything.

Also, please do not create another thread dealing with the same thing or we will simply merge the two into one big one. One thread about politics is enough for any forum.

Re: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

I started this thread to inform people, who may not have known of some of the things that went on in the previous Clinton, co-presidency, (that is how Bill Clinton describe it), of what they may expect under another Clinton co-presidency.

Re: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

I think there is enough blame to go around for the problems on the thread. I knew early on that things were going to get nasty and I for one should have moved on and let it die. We sometimes think we can stick our finger in the dam and stop it from breaking but we just open up holes some where else. I just turned 60 and probably need to keep my blood pressure from boiling. So I will mellow out. [ most of the time]

Thank you for believing that everyone here needed to know about your republican leanings.

I figure if a person is old enough to vote, they lived through the Bush-Clinton-Bush years and probably already know who they are going to vote for even without you telling them all about one small part of it.

How about if you tell us about some of the things the other two sides of that triangle have done. Of course you would need to post about 10 pages to cover just the current one and his screw ups and lies.

Re: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

I hate seeing all this hatred between parties, this is not how it was originally suppose to be.

One thing I know and it is opinion is that for the 16 years we have some pretty bad presidential decision making. But hey don't forget all those decisions get voted on by people that you and I elect.

Clinton is a scum bag for personal reasons and what exactly did he do for this country?

Dubya is not a scum bag but what exactly has he done for this country. The no child left behind is great slogan and I hope it works, Our kids are our future.
The war sucks and I hate it but damn it it has to be done. I don't like policing other countries but those whacked out cooks over there will level our country in a heart beat if given the chance and the way I see it we can't let that happen. Not sure on the total number of Killed in Action but I bet it's under or close to what the terrorist killed on 9/11, God Rest there Souls, Amen.

Now a little side note. The USA needs to grow some balls and tell the Saudi's that protection isn't free and that oil needs to get reduced in price.

One thing I know for sure is that people in this country need to stop looking for government to help them out of a hole. Blakker doesn't like poor folks clogging up the Emergency rooms, well do you think there lazy butts will make a DR appt when they get the Government medical plan that MOST doctors will not accept. yep same poor people will still be at the emergency room.
I hate seeing on the news and reading in the paper about how the government didn't act fast enough durring natural disaster. WHAT!! It is your responability to be prepaired. FEMA should only be used to get the infrustructer back up and running and any civilian help should be done as a loan that you must pay back. It is not my tax dollars responsability to put you up a travel trailer for free while you sit on your dead *** instead of rebuilding or moving on then slap FEMA with a law suit. The next president needs to get this crap straightened out

My leanings, are conservative, not republican, and it just so happens that for now, the democratic party is miles to the left of the republican party, which is still to far left on social issues.
I know that people are upset about the war, while they set at home and enjoy the freedoms that were won for them, by our fore-fathers, in war.

Matthew 24:6
You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

Re: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

I can just imagine the whispers from the crowd when David stepped out to fight that old giant. Maybe something like'' he's gonna get us all killed'', or '' more talking might get us out of this mess'' or'' we need to try sanctions'' or maybe some just decided to go to Canada. I think I have met some Canadians that feel the same way. I also wonder if there was a line behind David in case he did not kill the giant. I would like to think that old giant would have to fight every man there that day.

Re: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

LOL,

Just because there have been justifed wars in the past, doesn't make the war in Iraq justified.

Also, being against the Iraq war doesn't make you a p*ssy...err a "Canadian"

Here's where I have a problem. All the terrorists come from Saudi Arabia, a land of very wealthy, and very poor, and become angry at the world, because they are soooo poor yet wealth surrounds them...they turn to Muslim extremism as a way to make them feel better (e.g. Muslim teachings tell you this life doesn't matter...so you feel better about your sh*tty situation).

They then, after being somewhat brainwashed with religious extremism go to Afghanistan for terrorist training, to further their Muslim extremist cause.

So the seed is planted in Saudi Arabia, blooms in Afghanistan, and we bomb f*cking Iraq?

Brilliant. F'ing Brilliant. Then, those on the far right question my patriotism when I say this was a bad idea. Thanks to Bush, we caught Saddam and Bin Laden is free as a bird...see anything wrong with this picture?

I for one would never question your patriotism, maybe your judgement, but not patriotism. As a side note, i spent two tours in Vietnam and fought side by side with guys that did not want to be there and thought it was a war we should not be in. These guys were not draftees, they enlisted like I did in 65. The big difference to me was that they went and served, and died, because their country called. I don.t think we can survive if when the president that was elected by a minority of folks takes us to war and we refuse to go because we ''personally'' don't want to go. It would mean that we would only fight for what we believed but not for what the country believed. Since this country was begun, men have died maybe not because they believed in the war but because their country called them to war. We all enjoy our freedoms because they did their jobs. I thought the war in Vietnam was a disaster because of the people in Washington that was running it, but I stuck it out so I could come home to Americans that called us baby killers and murderers. However, the first long haired hippie that said that to me has false teeth in the front of his mouth. I bet he kept his distance from the next batch of vets comming home.

Re: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Maybe if Clinton went to Nam we would not have lost all the Marines and Navy guys during his watch. Maybe if we had treated the first towers bombing as a terror plot we could have stopped the second one. There is plenty of blame to go around here. I do not believe in all Bush has done just like I liked some of the things that Clinton done. See, I think our Congress is worthless, they have become null and void. They are so weak and constantly fighting with each other. We better have a President that will act if needed because if we had to wait on Congress to act, as the constitution says, we would all surely die..

Re: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

The Islamic extremist terrorist, are the army of Islam, all of the Islamic countries support them with money and places to hide.
It would be like in WWII, after Pearl Harbor, the American people saying, we are at war with the Japanese military but not the people or country of Japan.

I served two tours in Viet Nam, but I didn't join to serve America or protect anything, I went for the adventure, I was 17 at the time. The volenteer army of today is much better educated and have a much greater sense of duty than we did in 1965. We are fighting in the middle East, today, to determine what system we will live under, fifty years from now.

If you like the idea of men walking around with sticks and swords, to beat women that don't adhere to the Muslim dress code, and decapitate men who don’t bow low enough, them you will like what Islam has in store for the U. S. if they were to win.

Almost every country in the world, outside of some in Europe and Canada, if they had a weapon that they could use to destroy the U. S. A.,
and there would be no chance for us to retaliate, they would use it. We the USA, has that power, but do not even think of using it.

This is a war for rule of the earth, has been going on for 1600 years, and we are just getting into it.

This is how the vote went in 2004, almost Identical to 2000. There is a divide in this country that I do not believed can be overcome. Liberal vs. Conserative, more so than Republican and Democrat.
